Description
The FFA-IFSS1504 Intumescent Fire Strip is a combined fire and smoke sealing solution designed for fire-rated timber and metal doors. It features a high-performance intumescent core with an integrated 6 mm pile brush, all protected within a durable PVC casing.
During normal use, the pile brush helps reduce the passage of cold smoke, dust and draughts while allowing the door to open and close smoothly. When exposed to temperatures of approximately 100°C to 120°C, the intumescent core expands up to 10 times its original thickness. This expansion fills the gap between the door leaf and frame, helping to reduce the passage of flames, hot gases and smoke.
The seal includes a factory-applied self-adhesive backing for fast and simple installation. It can be applied to a clean and dry surface within a prepared groove or rebate. Its PVC casing provides protection for the sealing components and creates a clean, professional finish suitable for new installations and retrofit projects.
