Description
The FFA-DDS-2 Automatic Door Drop Seal is a medium-duty surface-mounted door bottom seal designed to improve the acoustic, smoke, dust and draught performance of timber and metal doors. Its surface-mounted design allows for fast installation without the need for mortising, making it ideal for both new projects and retrofit applications.
The seal is fixed directly to the bottom face of the door using the supplied screws. As the door closes, an adjustable brass actuator button contacts the door jamb and activates the internal spring-loaded mechanism, lowering the silicone sealing gasket evenly onto the floor to create a continuous seal. When the door opens, the gasket automatically retracts, preventing floor contact and reducing wear for smooth and reliable operation.
Manufactured with a durable aluminium alloy body and silicone rubber sealing gasket, the FFA-DDS-2 provides long-lasting performance while maintaining a neat appearance. It is suitable for timber and metal single and double leaf doors and offers an effective solution for improving door sealing against sound, smoke, dust and draughts.
