Honeywell BEAM1224 Conventional Projected Beam Smoke Detector
The Honeywell BEAM1224 is a conventional projected beam smoke detector designed to provide reliable smoke detection across large open areas where point smoke detectors may be impractical. Featuring a single-ended reflective design, the detector combines the transmitter and receiver within a single housing and works with a reflector to deliver accurate smoke detection over distances of up to 100 metres.
Ideal for warehouses, atriums, manufacturing facilities, sports halls, churches, shopping centres, and other large open spaces, the BEAM1224 offers dependable performance while reducing the number of detectors required to protect expansive areas.
The detector operates on a 10.2–32 VDC supply and uses a conventional 4-wire connection for straightforward integration with compatible fire alarm systems. With a typical standby current of 17 mA and a maximum alarm current of 38.5 mA, it provides efficient operation without compromising performance.
Designed for demanding environments, the BEAM1224 operates in temperatures from -30°C to +55°C and humidity levels from 10% to 93% RH (non-condensing). Its robust construction and reflective beam technology help deliver reliable fire detection while simplifying installation and maintenance.
