Description
The FFA-IFS1504 Intumescent Fire Strip is a high-performance fire sealing solution designed for fire-rated timber and metal doors. It contains a high-performance intumescent core housed in a durable hard PVC casing, providing reliable fire protection while remaining discreet during normal door operation.
When exposed to temperatures of approximately 100°C to 120°C, the intumescent material rapidly expands up to 10 times its original thickness. This expansion fills the gap between the door leaf and frame, or between the meeting edges of double doors, helping to reduce the passage of flames, hot gases and smoke while maintaining the fire integrity of the door assembly.
The seal is supplied with a factory-applied self-adhesive backing for fast and easy installation. It is designed to fit into prepared grooves or rebates, providing a clean, professional finish. The durable hard PVC casing protects the intumescent core, while the water-resistant construction ensures reliable long-term performance in a wide range of environments. Wood grain finishes are also available upon request.
